First Class For Teachers

Primary Teachers

First Class Supply and Training have built and maintained an excellent reputation across the north east for fulfilling the needs of local primary schools, and for ensuring our primary teachers secure work which is suitable for both their needs and experience.  We are the number one preferred agency for primary schools in North Tyneside where we originally built our fantastic relationships.

All of our primary supply teachers have a registration appointment, not only to complete the vetting process and requirements to work within UK schools, but to listen to you and understand how you would like us to support you in your search for teaching work.  It is important to us that all our teachers feel confident, effective, and valued whilst on assignments.

We have work available in Foundation, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2, therefore whether you have a preference to working in Nursery, Reception, Year 1, Year 2, Year 3, Year 4, Year 5, or Year 6 there will be something to suit you.  You may also have specialist subject areas which you would like to continue to work in, and we will always endeavour to support you in those areas.  First Class have an ongoing need for primary teachers to work within both primary and middle schools.

Opportunities are also available to work within a range of special needs schools and units.  You may be an experienced special needs teacher, be a qualified primary teacher with a desire to gain SEN experience, or have other relevant knowledge or experience of working with SEN pupils.  We can offer placements to work with pupils with a range of special educational needs including: EBD – emotional and behavioural difficulties, MLD – moderate learning difficulties, PMLD – profound and multiple learning difficulties, AUT – autism, PH – physically handicapped, HI – hearing impaired, VI – visually impaired, and EAL – English as an additional language.

We offer primary supply teaching opportunities for NQT’s, and experienced teachers throughout the scale at M1, M2, M3, M4, M5, M6, and threshold.  We are also keen to hear from you if you are currently completing a PGCE course, as we will be able to support you in how best to move forwards at the end of your course.  We have established links with a number of key education personnel in the north east who are available to talk to you about any concerns or advice you may need.

As a leading local agency, we have the flexibility to pay to scale, and always endeavour to ensure that our primary supply teachers are recognized and rewarded for their experience and skills.  Your individual pay rate will be discussed at your registration appointment, and we are confident that you will find this more competitive than most other local and national agencies!

First Class offer primary supply teaching vacancies to suit all your needs.  Maybe you are looking for full time or part time work, day to day, short term, or long term work.  If you are looking for permanent work, it is not uncommon for a school to offer you a contract or permanent role after you have completed a period of supply work.  For this we will not charge a fee to the school, something which most other agencies use as a barrier to prevent you from accepting permanent employment.  We strive to look after our primary teachers and will support you in any way we can if you are hoping to find permanent work.
